GIS Developer and Project Leader for internal and external GIS projects. Plan, coordinate, and develop projects utilizing and supporting geographic information systems technology within the organization as assigned by division manager. Provide technical and user support for specialty GIS applications. Evaluate, determine, and produce advanced GIS analysis services and products to support customer needs. Support, train, and coach advanced GIS users within the organization in current and new technology capabilities. Good project management and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with and contribute to a team environment. Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field is required. Over four years of experience in GIS is required. Local government experience is preferred. Proven competence in SQL Server query language, and HTML coding, and ESRI product certifications is highly desired. A valid driver’s license is required. 2013 NC GIS Conference – February 7-8, 2013 – Save the Dates

The 2013 NC GIS Conference will be held February 7-8, 2013 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Carolina URISA will again sponsor workshops on Wed February 6. Please mark your calendars.

Planning is underway but registration fees have not been established and the web site is not yet live. The conference Executive Committee will announce fees as soon as possible. The Sheraton Hotel in Raleigh will be the conference hotel and is offering rooms for $99 for singles/doubles.
