Ninth SHRUG GIS Workshop
Tallahassee, FL * November 9th-10th, 2011

The SHRUG Workshop Committee invites you to join us at our Ninth SHRUG GIS Workshop . We would love for you to participate by being an attendee, a vendor, a speaker, and/or a poster presenter.

Early Workshop registration will begin June 27th at a rate of $75.00.  Standard Registration will begin Monday, September 1st at a rate of $100.00. Late Registration at a rate of $125.00 will begin Monday, October 17th up to and including walk-in registration at the workshop.

Student Registration will begin June 27th at a rate of $50.00 up to and including walk-in registration at the workshop. Students must have a valid student ID at the time of check in and be enrolled for at least nine semester hours.

Keynote Speaker – David Cardella – Mobile Product Manager, Esri

David Cardella is responsible for guiding Esri’s Mobile GIS product strategy and vision. He works directly with Esri’s mobile development team through the design, build, testing and documentation process. Previously, David was the Java and iOS technical lead with the Esri Developer Network. David has spent over 18 years in the GIS industry and has extensive knowledge and experience with mobile device technology, and location-based services. Before joining Esri, he spent three years in Malaysia using Esri software to help privatize waste collection throughout the country. David is a graduate of McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.

Call for Papers  – The Ninth Annual SHRUG GIS Workshop will provide a forum for the latest GIS technology, research and activities in the southeastern United States.  This workshop will showcase GIS-related efforts currently ongoing with both government and private agencies, and will cover all levels of experience from beginner to expert.

Call for Posters  – The Ninth Annual SHRUG GIS Workshop Committee invites you to submit a poster or map for display during the Workshop. All GIS-related subjects are welcome. This is an opportunity to share your company’s projects in front of all attendees. So come on! What are you waiting for!
